Apr 17, 2014 – Gunjan Goel was a senior IT director for Honeywell Aerospace for 12 years when he started thinking about the growing problem of patients’ inability to see phys­icians at a moment’s notice, nights and weekends.  By 2010, he left Honeywell to see what he could do to solve the problem. While he was working on it, his wife gave birth prematurely to twins, creating an even more crucial need to see a doctor quickly. It took him some time to create DialNurse, which launched last May to connect patients with a nurse to answer medical questions in an effort to keep people from making expensive and emergency room visits that might be unnecessary.  Since then, Goel has added physicians to the call list and changed the Mesa company’s name to Amerivitals.  → Read more
